Photography has captured my heart from the first time I picked up a camera. Many escape reality by reading books, writing stories, or watching movies. For me, photography is my only outlet from this crazy hustle and bustle we call life. I love photography because it allows me to go to a place within myself. A birth certificate proves you were born, a death certificate proves you died, but a picture shows you lived, and through my creativity I intend to live life to the fullest. I love how it can take a moment in time and freeze it into tangible permanence. But more than that, photography is therapeutic for me - my greatest passion, my greatest joy. I cannot imagine life without my camera, for what is life without art? They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I think it's a beautiful way to tell a story. You can find the beauty in something that others may or may not see. In that sense, photography speaks to me. While I may not be affluent in writing, or great at drawing, singing, or dancing, I still have so much to offer the world with my unique perspective and vision.
